Great ProfessorCS3500 2021-04-01 17:38:10 +0000 UTC
the nature of the course causes a lot of students to shut off and get lost in their computers. I loved his intro computer science class, he's hilarious and has classic professor humor. He responds well to questions and demonstration of actual interest in the class.CS1101 2020-11-19 14:07:09 +0000 UTC
He's literally the worst professor just don't take him. I went into him once and he will hate you if you ask a question.CS1100 2019-11-22 19:56:28 +0000 UTC
If you slog your rear off and do more, you'll get an A. He makes it very clear that if you just fulfill all the requirements, you'll get a B. For an A you need to do much more than that. Course is tough but tries to make the course entertaining through his "jokes" and stories. He does care about students learning but not about grades :/CS5500 2018-12-30 03:29:38 +0000 UTC
He failed to consider each student's situation. The prerequisite of CS 4500 is CS 3500. However, many students who took this course have finished more than one Coop. So, if you have poor knowledge , you will have bad grade even though you try hard. He graded without thinking that you might do your best.CS4500 2017-12-06 17:37:03 +0000 UTC
He is the most caring & Down-to-earth professor I ever had, He will stay in the office after work and few students usually stay in his office and ask their questions even though it is not office hour! He will walk you through the question you have patiently. You can say he is a tough grader, but the rubric is reasonable and practical. Great ProfCS3500 2020-08-15 00:16:06 +0000 UTC
I loved Northeastern until I took his class.CS5500 2018-11-28 23:00:28 +0000 UTC
Boring lecture, gives unreasonable grade.CS4500 2017-11-02 05:27:08 +0000 UTC
Very interactive class. He will sometimes call on random students, so beware if you are shy and don't want to participate. He really likes to get the class to interact and understand. It forced me to pay attention because I didn't want to be clueless when called upon.CS3500 2020-04-07 18:28:58 +0000 UTC
I needed accommodation for some valid reason. He didn't consider it.CS5500 2018-11-28 02:56:29 +0000 UTC
Good person, but really really really really really BAD professor. This interesting course is RUINED by him. He knows absolutely nothing about computer science, and absolute nothing about software development.CS4500 2017-10-31 02:59:24 +0000 UTC
A very good professor. Though the subject itself is boring, he makes lots of efforts to make the classes interesting . Very down to earth professor who likes to see his students excelCS5500 2017-10-11 22:04:46 +0000 UTC
The 1.0 rating I found here is unwarranted. Professor Weintraub is really helpful and enthusiastic about the course material and it made the course enjoyable. Project grades were a little unclear and non-project material involved a fair amount of rote memorization but otherwise was an interesting course with useful material. Good real world exp.CS5500 2017-06-30 00:06:21 +0000 UTC
Lectures are boring and theoretical, nothing that you don't know. This class is just walk through of PowerPoint presentation. This is a easy course but You can't be sure of what grade you get in this course.CS5500 2017-04-29 09:57:14 +0000 UTC
