Professor Soltanifar is great. Statistics can be hard inherently, but if you read corresponding chapters in the textbook before lectures, you can better understand the material. His lecture is organized and detailed. He is also very willing to answer questions after class. His grading can be tough but you will learn a lot.ALY6010 2024-10-11 17:07:05 +0000 UTC
For example, if you make a minor mistake (i.e. a format mistake) he would deduct 10 points, while the other professor just deduct 2 points. His lectures are ok though, he tended to write everything on blackboard, without using ppt. He is really tough grader, giving students much lower grades than other sections. Once he made a canvas announcement 1 day before the deadline, (by that time I had already submitted my assignment), and then deducted my points, accusing me for not following his announcement.
