Do not take his class!!! He is as bad as what everyone says. He cannot teach to save his life. He just rambles on and on without actually telling us why we are doing or our objective of a specific problem. He snaps at people for asking questions that we already learned. Prof. Yilmaz is a very sweet man. He wants to help everyone and has a great sense of humor. He isnt the greatest teacher though. I spent many nights learning everything on my own. But if you are great in math, take this class. Only 5 assignments and 3 tests!!!MSC201 2009-04-21 19:29:00 +0000 UTC

Pretty much useless, hard to understand and not helpful when approached with questions. He's a nice enough guy I guess, but he seems to put his students down a bit. I went to his office hours the day before the exam with a simple question and he made me wait for two hours because he was busy. The problem with this course is that it is useful but Prof Yilmaz couldn't convey the practicality well enough to students.He isnt a bad person, infact if you work hard and 'try' to understand, he does want to help.He needs to structure the course better,use more interesting cases,day to day examples and refine his teaching style.MSCG208 2008-03-30 20:26:43 +0000 UTC
