I took her for online style and editing (ENGL2710), the class is low-pressure (yet packed with learning and opportunities for improvement) and she does a great job of getting back to us with feedback and developing us as writers. Professor Poe was an absolute delight. She was super understanding about the difficulties of online learning, but her class still felt like a class, even over Zoom. If you want to learn how to teach well or experience how a teacher can be life-changing, take her class! A kind person who checks in with her students, doesn't overwhelm the class with her lectures, and lets students participate. Her assignments are reasonable and will help you in the long term.
