Very good and well-respected professor. Very knowledgeable in his sub-field. The class uses ACL2s, so self-learning is very hard due to lack of resources. Accelerated is lots of work, HWs take forever but are worth it (work with a partner), in-class quizzes are 15% of your grade so attendance is crucial, and TA's OH were very helpful!CS2800 2025-04-12 06:27:12 +0000 UTC
In ACL2s, so while an older language, is very good learning resource and gets down to concepts. Overall a lot of work, but if you attend lecture, he gives you everything you need to do the homeworks, also OH help a lot. If you are looking for the easy way out, take it with someone else, but if you want to learn and be challenged, highly recommend.CS2800 2025-03-23 23:20:05 +0000 UTC
Just don't do it! Just don't. He is arrogant and the worst professor I've had at Northeastern in my four years here. He cannot teach, does not grade anything in a timely manner, and the entirety of your grade will be on tests, which by the way, you won't get them back so you will have no idea how you are doing in the class. Don't do it.CS2800 2022-04-04 22:15:08 +0000 UTC
Good person but a god awful professorCS2800 2022-03-31 00:06:53 +0000 UTC
You are expected to know everything about the ACL2S and programming before the lectures. Team up with someone to study and go to TAs will help. He does not care about your success rather than his own projects. Very disorganized course material. So far the hardest and most unfair course taken in NEU.CS2800 2022-02-22 23:32:57 +0000 UTC
This man does not care about you, your grade, or helping you learn and succeed in the course. He was nothing but vague and unhelpful.CS2800 2021-03-26 04:36:35 +0000 UTC
Very hard class but you will learn a hell of a lot.CS2800 2019-04-04 13:55:34 +0000 UTC
I like him!CS2800 2016-04-14 14:11:24 +0000 UTC
Average teacher, not one to avoid but no star. Is clear and straightforward, but the exams can be a bit unexpected in terms of material. It's hit or miss. It's not really his fault though as a shared class. He tries, and is overall competent in explaining concepts, but is not the best i've seen. Ask questions if you have them.CS2800 2015-08-17 17:31:54 +0000 UTC
he is only capable to teach kindergarten!!CS2800 2015-02-12 10:13:43 +0000 UTC
Completely horrible all around, avoid at all costsCS2800 2014-09-02 21:15:03 +0000 UTC
Good professor!!CS2800 2013-06-09 09:13:42 +0000 UTC
Incredibly difficult class. Allows 50% of the class to fail without curving test. No difference between professors, both work together and teach same class with the same tests. Not impossible but certainly a weed out class, has extra credit but the extra credit is much harder than the class material, a far cry from free points.CS2800 2013-03-14 13:57:40 +0000 UTC
He has his pros and cons. Assumes you learned more that you did in Discrete, and sometimes explains things too quickly. Intelligent professor though. Has a number of important connections, so he's a good person to suck up to. Overall, the course material is hard. But he does well considering the difficulty of it all.CS2800 2011-12-01 22:46:28 +0000 UTC
