Dr. Seo is the best! She is very funny and kind, and she makes an effort to get to know everyone in class. She has amazing, engaging lectures and has brilliant, detailed notes and online resources for studying. Take the time to study, and you will do great. She teaches concepts very well. Tests are harder than quizzes, but the class is great.MATH2321 2026-06-25 19:49:45 +0000 UTC
Sumi is the most caring, passionate, hilarious professor I have ever had. Her class time is always used effectively, and she posts EXTREMELY detailed notes to Canvas, so even if you don't go to every class, you have all the material you need. If you have the opportunity to take a course with her, do not hesitate to do so!MATH3081 2026-04-26 16:27:04 +0000 UTC
My biggest regret in college was not taking calc 3 with her the next semester. Actual queen behavior every time I walked in that classroom she's literally an iconMATH1342 2025-12-15 21:31:54 +0000 UTC
If you don't go to the lecture's you're bound to fail. Although her Canvas notes are clear, she covers so much content in class that you need to have explained to you. Quizzes every week, lowest two dropped. However, she 100% gives you resources to perform on the tests, word for word, I got a 99.5% on the final after an 87% on the midtermMATH1231 2024-12-05 07:23:31 +0000 UTC
Only downside is she doesn't give you notes on what you did wrong. Other than that she's a great caring prof. took time to learn names, and is very clear about what will and won't be on tests. Quizzes are every week but they are really easy if you pay attention. If you can't understand accents be a little cautious. Big ball of energy and loves mathCALC2 2024-02-17 16:51:54 +0000 UTC
her notes are really goodMA2331 2015-11-18 03:36:37 +0000 UTC
Great teacher. Her notes are crystal clear, just make sure she sees you when you raise your handMA2332 2015-11-11 12:48:13 +0000 UTC
She's definitely not the clearest teacher out there. Here quizzes come from the homework. The key to the class is to go to her office hours. She does the problems that will be on the quiz and is always willing to help.MATHA 2012-11-13 22:39:01 +0000 UTC
She is so hard to understand. Quizzes were easy once she told us all the questions were from the hw. But the exam was so hard. Average was a 67.MATH1000 2012-04-18 14:25:31 +0000 UTC
way too fastMATH1243 2012-01-19 15:22:01 +0000 UTC
Dr. Seo is the best. She is extremely kind and funny, and she makes an effort to get to know her class, which makes lectures so engaging. She is amazing with her online resources and has detailed notes, so if you set aside time to study, you will do well. Tests are definitely harder than quizzes, but she always drops hints. Take Dr. Seo if you can!MATH2321 2026-06-25 19:43:50 +0000 UTC
She moves through topics very quickly but she posts all her lecture notes after class, which I have found very helpful for my understanding. Attendance is not mandatory, however, I recommend coming to classes prior to quizzes and exams as she often drops many hints during these lectures.MATH3081 2026-04-26 01:03:25 +0000 UTC
Amazing professor, loved her classes. Her note guides are super helpful and allowed me to get good grades on the quizzes during class time. She does have a somewhat strong accent, but it is understandable and have recommended her to all of my friends.MATH1342 2024-03-19 16:43:31 +0000 UTC
She goes pretty fast and can be a bit hard to understand at times. She gives REALLY helpful reviews before every test and midterm. You're almost guaranteed an A as long you pay attention and do the reviews.MATH1231 2015-11-10 02:08:49 +0000 UTC
Sumi isn't necessarily a bad teacher. She knows her material and is very adept at teaching it. Yet, the classes she teaches are difficult and the pace at which she moves is extremely quick. At most times, it's hard to keep up and while she encourages students to ask questions, she doesn't give them enough time to think about it.CALC2 2020-04-16 03:13:23 +0000 UTC
