Rais made you work for your grade! Who knew Calc 2 would be such a challenge. Nonetheless, we had a common final among all sections of the course, and it felt easy in comparison to the class in general. Doing ALL of the homework is necessary, and I felt like I had learned a lot! Quizzes look like the homework. Funny professor; CARES!MATH1342 2015-05-04 12:27:16 +0000 UTC
Had Professor Movassagh for probability and math reasoning (discrete math and proofs.) He is by far the best that I've had. He was so helpful at office hours and will go out of his way to make sure you understand that material. The class was hard, however thanks to Professor Movassagh I can finally say that I understand all the material. Thank you!1365 2014-12-15 18:42:41 +0000 UTC
Seems like a nice guy, this was one of the hardest classes ever. The students had no idea what we were doing and sometimes he didn't even know. He was often frustrated at us for not understanding the material, if you don't have to take discrete mathematics DO NOT TAKE IT.MATH1365 2014-11-12 19:54:00 +0000 UTC
He is incredibly helpful and very funny. He is always willing to go back and explain something to anyone who is lost, and he is really invested in his students doing well. I'm looking forward to having him again next semester.MATH3081 2014-04-11 11:14:28 +0000 UTC
He is one of the most amazing cal 1 teachers if not the most. Please go to his office hours because he loves that and he is very helpful as well. Quizzes and midterm are based on the HW problems. Do your HW and go to office hours for questions and the goes your "A." Yeah! Overall he is great, very nice, patient, and funny too. ENJOY!MATH1341 2013-10-22 03:23:10 +0000 UTC
He is enthusiastic about math, very good at explaining concepts, highly recommend if you want to really learn the material...lectures are coherent and well organized.Tests are fair and doable. He is really smart, he really knows his stuff.MATH2341 2013-05-30 22:56:38 +0000 UTC
Awesome guy, really helpful. He's insanely smart (Cornell, MIT), would recommend but I'm pretty sure he's leaving soon. Take one of his classes if you can!1365 2014-11-19 01:41:10 +0000 UTC
He was a very nice professor, though the class was very difficult for students without previous Calc 1 Experience.MATH1341 2013-10-11 14:42:16 +0000 UTC
Ramis is a good lecturer. He will start with a theorem and then does examples. Generally goes by the book, so you can get away without some lectures, but his examples are pretty useful. His quizzes and exams are generally a little bit harder than homework (which is optional) and quizzes because he seems to overestimate his students sometimes.MATH2341 2013-04-22 15:59:12 +0000 UTC
