Though she could be a tough grader, that seems to be inherent with a proofs-based class, and I really appreciated that she took the time to thoroughly explain concepts and help with homework. This professor is very sweet as a person, especially during offic hours, but in class she makes you feel insanely unconfident. She was always yelling and I feel like class was a race - stressful 24/7. GO TO CLASS, you'll think you can get away without going to class but it will come back to bite you at the end of the semester. Prof. Rangoli is genuinely one of the kindest instructors I've ever had. She's so dedicated to her students, and always devoted extra time for us. She always explained WHY she posted a certain worksheet, posted a certain homework assignment, etc. Her whole purpose was for us to learn. he taught a quite complex class very well, always available for her students and always wanted the best for us. Lectures were fast-paced but as long as you put in time outside of class in the right way it was never too hard of a course. The way she taught the material was almost immaculate. Rangoli teaches very well and says she cares about her students, but her class environment is subpar. She's far too intense and teaches like a coach. She expects a 3-minute problem to take us 30 secs, then harasses the class for an answer. I've heard she is warmer one-on-one, but I am too scared to go to office hours. She has a very thick accent that's hard to decipher and also speaks incredibly fast. Additionally, she somehow goes really fast while also getting behind in her units. She delayed test 2 and so we had three major tests back to back with a quiz squeezed in between. Class moves fast and she rushes sometimes, but she's very accessible and helpful during office hours in case you have any questions. Several times have I went to office hours for help on homework and even ended up having a very nice off-topic conversation.
