If you don't take a class with Professor Freeland you are missing out. He is a treasure to the world of academia, I recommend his class 100%. He is very understanding and caring of his students, he took the time to learn all of our names by the second week of class.HIST2299 2025-02-19 22:46:55 +0000 UTC
I just finished with this course and Professor Freehand is an extraordinary teacher. He makes sure the class understands all aspects of the history of the United States and keeps everyone engaged. Every class there are discussions that everyone is involved in, and this gives so much more than the average history class. I highly recommend him.HIST2299 2024-12-02 19:17:23 +0000 UTC
While he tries to be a good teacher, he fails. The course is interesting, but he is an extremely harsh grader and only once you understand how arbitrary his grading system is will you do decently. If you want an easy grade or not a lot of work dont take the class. 200+ pages to read each week 3 papers 2 presentation, 1 debate 1 3000 word finalHIST2299 2017-12-19 01:16:07 +0000 UTC
