This was a disappointment. He was extremely vague about the assignments and does not respond to your emails. He comes across as an easy grader and that "everybody gets A's" and that certainly is not the case. I do not recommend him.HST2201 2015-12-21 15:52:11 +0000 UTC
Mr. Sparks was pretty great. Most times his History of Boston lectures felt more like storytime than class, which was a good thing. He wasn't super clear on all of the assignments, but he was really flexible about them and everyone seemed to do well and enjoy the class. I'd definitely reccomend him!HISTBOST 2012-02-08 11:04:35 +0000 UTC
Const. Hst. Sparks is very vague about his requirements and does little to no actual teaching. No feedback is ever given when requested. You'll be lucky to get a few words out of this guy beyond his lectures. Learned almost nothing despite hours upon hours of assignments, etc.HST4505 2009-02-17 18:33:10 +0000 UTC
Great, A+ professor! Enthusiastic, intelligent, very well spoken, and knowledgable, he gets going on a subject and you can't help but get lost in his history lectures. Highly reccommended!HISTOFBOSTON 2006-05-05 10:06:23 +0000 UTC
Great teacher, funny guy, interesting class, lots of reading but it pays off if you do it, sit in the front so he knows who you are. great guy, so hot!!!HISTBOSTON 2004-04-16 10:46:10 +0000 UTC

Mr. Sparks was an amazing teacher. He truly is an incredible orator and his lively personality is impossible to dislike. I received an A in his class because I did the work that was asked of me. He is definitely very good looking as well.HSTU232 2004-03-22 11:32:05 +0000 UTC
University College Prof.; Great lectures; a lot of reading, expect 6-10 books read by end or term; In class participation counts; final requires reading and understanding of all material; very fair grader.HST4548 2003-09-02 20:09:26 +0000 UTC
Tough grader, but the most interesting teacher i've had. just study for the tests and take good notes.HISTBOST 2004-02-04 23:26:58 +0000 UTC
Sparks is an amazing speaker. I never had a problem sitting through a lecture. He's obviously very passionate about his work. His tests are tough, and mostly essay questions. Be prepared to do a lot of reading.HSTU232 2003-12-08 18:55:34 +0000 UTC
One of the best orators ever. Very interesting...the tests are essay, and exactly what he lectures on, just take good notes.HISTBOST 2003-12-16 14:42:54 +0000 UTC
