Rush is amazing, the class is super easy, there are no tests, just skills which are like quizzes you take outside of class, but you can retake them if you do bad and it's not letter based its just if you meet expectations or not. Homework isn't bad Aswell!CS2000 2026-02-05 22:22:34 +0000 UTC
hes so sweet like so uwu but he dont play about his class its not hard at all if u pay attention in lecture and understand the materialDS2000 2025-11-23 01:14:57 +0000 UTC
By far the best professor I've had here. Very caring and accommodating, and his lectures are genuinely interesting.DS2500 2024-12-18 00:26:00 +0000 UTC
Was anxious going into this class with no experience, but Prof Sangs does a wonderful job at breaking things down and answering all questions. He has a very positive attitude during lectures making it a very fun and enjoyable class. Grading is straight forward and fair, just go to class and pay attention.CS2000 2026-01-08 18:15:45 +0000 UTC
Terrible professor. Unclear lectures, unhelpful guidance, and an friendly classroom vibe. The content wasn't the problem it was his nature and structure. If you can I highly recommend going with any other professor so you can be in an uplifting learning environment where you feel encouraged to learn.DS2000 2025-10-30 16:57:03 +0000 UTC
I wish we had spent less time recapping DS2000 and more time on the new, more complex/difficult material. I wish this were 65 minutes instead of 100 - really hard to absorb everything you learn in one sitting of the longer classes. A kind professor who is passionate about the material. Clearly cares very deeply about his students - take his class!DS2500 2024-12-17 02:02:02 +0000 UTC
Rush is AMAZING! Despite CS2000 being a hot mess in terms of organization, grading, expectations, and communication, the actual content of his lectures are some of the best around. Super knowledgeable yet down-to-earth. Feels like just another student. Go to office hours! He's a super interesting dude and will remember you on campus.CS2000 2026-01-02 04:45:44 +0000 UTC
Seemed like a nice and helpful professor at first but don't be fooled by the facade. Truly in my 3 years at college he is one of the worst professor I have had he's super passive aggressive and genuinely doesn't care about anything other than his tangents on the class code. I genuinely believe I could have 100% done a better job teaching myself.DS2000 2025-10-30 16:46:47 +0000 UTC
I liked Rush and the lectures were solid. This course is surprisingly graded by few things as we only had 4 homework assignments in addition to a couple PPP and Lab assignments. Overall this was good and besides getting marked off for a couple silly things (imo) I had a good time and learned stuff.DS2500 2024-12-16 20:03:44 +0000 UTC
Rush is a good professor but with such a big class he goes very fast and isn't too helpful. He wants the best for you but isn't the best at teaching to beginners.CS2000 2025-12-30 14:34:21 +0000 UTC
he seemed super nice at first but later on it became abundantly clear that he is a terrible lecturer, and doesn't give any actual practice. he also arbitrarily accuses MULTIPLE students of cheating during skills. wished the T would hit me every time i went to his class it was genuinely so boring and i could have learned the entire thing on my own.DS2000 2025-10-30 16:38:57 +0000 UTC
Such a great professor, really cares about the subject and tries to make lectures interesting. Assignments are not easy but not too difficult, you really learn a lot through this course.DS2500 2024-11-20 22:21:52 +0000 UTC
take a later section of the class. he's really kind but i had a friend in the second section of the class and she says he was never organized to give the lecture, often making mistakes; meanwhile i had the last section and it was extremely smooth sailing. the class is super online heavy so don't be scared to be on the discord all the timeCS2000 2025-12-23 02:24:15 +0000 UTC
Two tests and ~7 homework assignments. Your lowest homework grade will get dropped but homework is worth like 80% of your grade so make sure you perfect your code. He really cares about his students and is willing to help you if you go to office hours or talk to him after class. Cool dude.DS2000 2025-04-28 20:06:23 +0000 UTC
Rush does a great job at helping you work through problems without giving away answers, which I believe is very effective for learning cs. Class itself was not difficult and he always gave readings to do before class that would help. The labs were fun and helpful, and end of class seemed rushed but overall it was organized and not stressful.CS2000 2025-12-18 19:59:15 +0000 UTC
