Student reviews

One blog per week and 3 major essays for the course. Overall the workload is not too bad and the class is relatively chill. (Mostly discussion and readings) One thing great about the professor is that she gives good and constructive feedback on our essays. Easy B or B+ if you follow her instructions. Sarah is so chill. The class is mainly just discussion, I don't think there was a single lecture the entire semester. She assigns some really easy essays, you should be fine if you are literate and know MLAAPA and basic grammar. Class discussions do not require you to raise your hand so people just yell out what they think. For teaching a writing course for the sciences, she's surprisingly against scientific thought processes; she will take off points if you write about a topic she doesn't understand. Sarah's class made me actually enjoy English for the first time in my life. Her syllabus and course guidelines are unique, engaging, and thought provoking.
