There are quizzes every week that you take but they are super easy and open notes and take home. He gave us the midterm as a take home as well it was all Mc. He is super nice, and he gives great examples in class. Sometimes he doesn't explain things too well but it doesn't matter as long as you understand the basics. Super hard to get lower than 95PHYS1147 2025-04-16 02:09:38 +0000 UTC
i just speechless about Sergey. I love his teaching methods and really practical.PHY145 2024-04-11 21:54:35 +0000 UTC
I have disability accommodations that were a bit of a pain to sort out and he was incredibly understanding, always offering helpful suggestions and working with my extra needs. What a lovely guy. He had surgery at the end of last semester and I hope he's doing well.PHYS1149 2024-01-15 23:31:53 +0000 UTC
suuuper easy course. literally didn't go half the semester and still did so well in the course. kravchenko is very fair (maybe too nice if anything) and i always got partial credit. lab wasn't bad either.PHYS1145 2016-12-23 16:26:25 +0000 UTC
Really explains material well with good examples, always willing to help answer questions during and after lectures; exams are class specific but he does well to cover topics quickly and succinctly.PHYS101 2009-08-16 10:09:29 +0000 UTC
accent can be hard to understand, but it gets easier over time. nice guy, fairly decent teacher and does a lot of homework problems in lecture.PHY151 2009-04-16 13:58:30 +0000 UTC
knows his stuff, and really willing to helpPHY147 2009-02-24 12:54:21 +0000 UTC
Very good professor. Wants everyone to get a good grade. Scales final.PHYU145 2008-01-04 13:59:47 +0000 UTC
Kravchenko is good and cool teacher mainly because he knows the material so good. If you do the reading before coming to class, as told, there is no reason you won't understand his lectures. He is always willing to answer questions and won't go on till you get it. I learned a crazy amount in his class. GO SERGEY ......he needs to get a new lapPHYENG 2006-01-16 21:40:55 +0000 UTC
He has a pretty thick accent, but does a very good job working around it. He is always willing to reword anything you do not understand, and is an overall very helpful teacher. Lectures can get pretty boring though.PHYENG2 2004-12-06 21:26:30 +0000 UTC
Dr. Kravchenko is really sweet and extremely knowledgeable. The class is very easy, take-home quizzes and the midterm and final are very straightforward and I could bring as many notes as I wanted. My class ended up being almost entirely online and it was very low effort. If you struggle, he is happy to answer questions and help you.PHYS1147 2024-05-05 17:26:04 +0000 UTC
SERGEY IS THE BESTPHY145 2018-06-20 12:15:28 +0000 UTC
kravchenko is awesome! he's very nice, helpful, and intelligent. his accent is hard to understand at first, but you get used to it. he covers information pretty quickly in class, so speak up if you don't understand something! weekly quizzes and tests are straightforward, although sometimes tricky -- but they are open-note, so that helps a lotPHYS1149 2013-04-11 12:29:29 +0000 UTC
Prof Kravchenko is one of the nicesest professors you will ever meet. In general the 151 physics dept sucks, but kravchenko makes it awesome. Take advantage of his extra credit points. If you ask him questions he will always answer. He always knows the right answer instantaneously. He is clearly a physics genious.PHY151 2007-05-01 14:02:38 +0000 UTC
Great professor. Really wants you to learn and get a good grade. I went to his office hours and he was very helpful. If you have to take physics take it with him.PHY147 2007-08-23 18:08:04 +0000 UTC
