She clearly cares about students and them actually learning from her class. Though she moves a bit fast and is a bit difficult to understand at times you can just read the textbook and ask her any questions you have. Like other people have said, it was clear that this was her first time teaching, but her lectures got drastically better over the course of the semester. The textbook problems she assigns for homework aren't mandatory, but they are helpful for preparing for the tests. Prof. Hassoun seems to genuinely care about her students success. She is always happy to answer questions during lecture. Is clearly new to teaching, but the quality of lectures has improved drastically. You can tell that Hassoun is really passionate about calc and was really excited to teach, however, she doesn't do a great job teaching. The homework isn't mandatory but it is really helpful for quizzes. There are two main tests and she gives you a review sheet just like the test. It is very clear that it is her first time teaching a college level class. However, her lectures got drastically better as the semester went by. This teacher is the worst possible teacher you could take for any maths class. Her accent is too difficult to understand, and she does not speak loud enough. In class, she writes down what is on the textbook and does not explain anything at all. Prof. Hassoun seems like a brilliant lady but it is clearly one of her first times teaching. She is hard to understand, both audibly and the stuff she writes down. She cannot answer student questions, talks too quietly, and is not respected.
