I have never been so lost in a math class online. It's basically an online class and you just meet with him for questions. You must have a laptop for this class. Doesn't answer questions clearly. Very very difficult teacher. His lectures can be substituted by the book easily but his quizzes and especially his exams are extremely hard. He will randomly take attendance and randomly decide to collect homeworks you did 2 weeks ago. He expects you to do all 25 questions for each homework and assigns 3 to 4 a week. Calling him the worst professor is an exaggeration. Even with his accent, his English is pretty comprehensible. He's always willing to help students and will even spend half of the lecture answering students' questions about the homework. He's not as bad as everyone below seems to think. His accent is NOT that strong. Taking this course is a little easier if you took some form of calculus in high school (doesn't have to be AP level) because he assumes you know certain things. Quiz difficulty ranges. Prof. Dubrovskiy is the worst teacher I have ever had. Before this class, I thoroughly enjoyed calculus and now I hate the subject. Rather than giving notes, he gives examples directly out of the book and has to look to the book for help when solving the problems. He is not a good teacher. He goes over all the theorems of everything without actually explaining what we're learning. He taught from another teacher's curriculum and did not even grade his own quizzes which he did not see until we saw them. Stan is a good guy, but don't expect him to do the work for you. You need to earn your understanding by doing the work yourself. Did very well in the beginning of the course. MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK from the very begining-he grades according to correct answers. Recitation is a joke considering they dont speak english.
