Professor Holtzen is a fantastic professor. He's super passionate and knowledgeable about programming languages and is able to convey complex ideas quite simply. He builds up your understanding of PL topics from the ground up at a very reasonable pace. His lectures are engaging and the course material is not hard to keep up with. Highly recommend.CS4400 2025-04-14 19:03:57 +0000 UTC
I took Prof. Holtzen's CS4400/5400 actually and it was one of the best courses that I have had at Northeastern. The topic is challenging for me, but he made it so that everyone of us can enjoy the course materials as much as possible. I recommend everyone interested in this topic to take this course!CS4100 2024-04-18 15:59:04 +0000 UTC

I really enjoy this course and it was mainly because he gives interesting lectures throughout the whole semester. I can tell he's really passionate about the field of AI as well as teaching. He's a very understanding and approachable guy if you ever go to his office hours. He also acted super supportive and willing to help.CS4100 2022-04-26 17:23:38 +0000 UTC
