Your grade HEAVILY depends on participation, even if you do participate a lot there's a good chance the classroom TA's that she picks every lesson won't mark that you participated because they're always slacking off. Stine is interesting, to say the least. The majority of classes were her yapping and going off on tangents. Now many professors do this, but Stine does not let you use tech most of the time, so you're stuck listening to it and wondering why you took the class. If you struggle with participating in class then good luck because thats the majority of your grade. Her quizzes are very specific to the readings and a picky grader. exams and projects are weighted weird. Shes very nice but she tries really hard to make her class as hard as it can be. Really great professor. Found that a lot of people didn't necessarily love her class but I found it pretty easy as long as you show up and interact a couple of times. Professor Stine expects students to read a bunch of articles (like 15+) that are behind a paywall and can't be found on Northeastern's library website. Friendly professor and straightforward course. Exam material was unclear, and slides were a bit messy at times. Her no technology policy is obsolete and prevents students from notetaking in class. lots of reading about innovation participation here and there, but she grades very lightly and her quizzes for the readings are super easy. she won't test you on super specific moments on the mid term so just remember the overarching frameworks and it will be super easy. Prof. Grodal is a good professor who has real world entrepreneurial experience and clearly has a passion for the subject. The lectures are pretty good. The class was extremely group project heavy.
