One of my favorite professors at Northeastern. He makes an effort to get to know all of his students and he is very approachable, real, and genuine. He is a great lecturer and I actually enjoyed going to his class. If you have to take Innovation, definitely take it with him. Participation matters a lot in this class. He knows whether you go or not. The material is really easy. You don't have to read the workbook texts at all to come to class the next day. I created an account just to rate Venkat Kuppuswamy. He is singlehandedly the best professor I've had at Northeastern so far. Extremely engaging lectures (even for 8 AM) and despite case readings required for almost every class they were not difficult or boring reads at all. One of the best professors in DMSB. His lectures are engaging, easy to follow, and well-prepared. He clearly has a passion for entrepreneurship and is very open to ideas. Grading is based heavily on participation, but he does an amazing job of making everyone feel comfortable sharing their thoughts. Professor Kuppuswamy is by far my favorite professor at Northeastern. He is SO AWESOME and incredibly engaging. By far the best and most interesting lectures EVER. He's passionate about what he teaches and always has a lesson plan. He's also just a great guy with personality. One of my favorite professors at NEU! Participation really counts in this course, but there are plenty of opportunities to talk during class as it's very discussion based. This class was case-based which I really liked. Participation is encouraged but the Professor facilitates a healthy environment that makes it easy to engage. Innovation! with Prof. Kuppuswamy was one of my all-time favorite classes. He is extremely nice, on his students' side, and will always help. His classes are a combination of HBS cases and slides delving deeper into the respective theory. Great professor. He's extremely understanding. Innovation is a relatively easy class but he made it interesting and engaging. There's quite a bit of reading to do which is necessary for in class participation.
