Not a difficult class / professor, however studying sources outside of the class is crucial. Watch youtube lectures. IMO he wasn't as harsh as other reviews make it out to be, extended lab due dates if he felt that the class needed more time. Was late often, unsure if attendance was actually mandatory, still unsureEECE2160 2025-12-18 02:35:41 +0000 UTC
You will be spending 15+ in office hours weekly, hope that your TAs can help if not too bad. He delayed our midterm because he was 20+ minutes late to class giving five minutes heads up. His grading system is horrific, he enjoys hiding things in the syllabus that can make or break your grade and never elaborating it. Please take any other course.EECE2160 2025-12-15 02:10:18 +0000 UTC
The professor shows up late, 10+ minutes after the first week is over. Never really explains anything, and reads off the slides. Full of empty promises and tells students that tests are similar to hw, but in actuality have very little in common with the hw. Writing emails to him is like trying to reach customer support on Steam: takes days to replyEECE2160 2025-11-19 19:10:41 +0000 UTC
Chill professor, a bit hard to understand at times and not all of the content covered in the lectures is needed for you to be successful in the labs. As long as you understand the lab content you'll be fine for the midterm/final.EECE2160 2024-12-31 18:16:38 +0000 UTC
I cannot even begin to fathom what the hiring committee was smoking when they decided to have Shazli teach robotics. He does not teach. Your grade depends entirely on learning the content on your own time and hopefully getting labs from people who took the class before. If you have him in the future, good luck.EECE2160 2024-05-07 22:51:05 +0000 UTC
Not a good prof, speaks with an accent so sometimes hard to understand for the most part he reads off slides and adds a little info of his own, not great for an intro level course howeverEECE2160 2024-04-28 19:08:46 +0000 UTC
Doesn't give us any homework and then gives us quizzes. Literally no structure to this class and is taught super poorly.EECE2160 2024-03-28 16:03:08 +0000 UTC
This class genuinely doesn't make sense. We have no homework assigned to us, but we have quizzes and a final? I've never taken an engineering class which assess students without giving them any practice. The only study material we have is the presentations which are unclear and do not have nearly enough practice.EECE2160 2024-03-19 04:48:59 +0000 UTC
Prof. Shazli was exceptionally disorganized on Canvas. His lectures were dry and hard to follow. The labs we did were not the same ones that other sections of the class did, and they had almost no instructions. The TAs were not given any more resources so they were basically useless meaning you had to rely on classmates for help. Do not recommend.EECE2160 2023-12-13 15:51:23 +0000 UTC
