Super nice and unconventional when it comes to grading. The class has busy work, but as long as you do the work and show up to class you get at least a B. You have to advocate for your grade to have it go higher but the attendance and work is super easy so it's not difficult. Complete all your assignments correctly, on time, and participate in class --> you get a B, not an A. She assigns a lot of busy work readings, and attendance is mandatory. She also provides vague details on what she actually wants to see from you in your writing. I thought this professor wasn't gonna be bad, but ended up getting tanked with reading and work. Would recommend taking any other professor, my friends took the same class and had half the work as I did. Dr. V definitely cares for her students wants us to learn, and has a nice grading policy (as long as you do the work - you'll get an A). She also gave us plenty of flex time to use on assignments. All you have to do is show up on time and submit the work. There isn't much work at all and when there was work you didn't need to spend more than an hour on it. She seemed to be against university as a system of learning which is strange as a yk... university professor? Easy class, she grades based on completion so as long as you show up and submit assignments on time, you're good. Some of her assignments were a bit annoying and discussions were repetitive. Dr. V is a pretty good English teacher. She does give a ton of feedback, and we have a ton of time in class to work on our papers. While the class is only graded off of three papers, we do spend a lot of time working on them, so it isn't too terrible.
