I loved this class! Exams were difficult but very fair, nothing we hadn't seen before.math2331 2025-12-30 13:37:51 +0000 UTC
took 2331 lin alg, great professor, interesting lectures, funny and entertaining. very well organized, no surprises anywhere with tests, content, grading, etc. tests and content was difficult, questions are similar in difficulty to practice problems so review wellMATH1342 2025-08-05 15:16:06 +0000 UTC
Super easy-going prof who taught an interesting course. Wish I had him for a more interactive course, seems like a good teacher. Really easy on grading.DS2001 2024-12-04 21:20:04 +0000 UTC
Highly recommend. super easy class and all the topics were explained really well. all the tests and quizzes are like the practice that's provided and the group project is super easy.MATH1231 2024-04-23 18:58:36 +0000 UTC
Professor Blankers rocks. He does a great job of presenting abstract concepts in math iteratively; through examples and results that are approachable and build a deep illustration of the topics at hand. He takes the painstaking effort to give rigorous feedback on every problem, on every assignment. This is indispensable for learning math.MATH3175 2022-01-11 13:11:13 +0000 UTC
Super nice guy. I didn't do too well because im an idiot but this class is very doable.MATH1342 2024-04-18 23:35:16 +0000 UTC
Vance is terrible in terms of teaching. Whether it's his first time or not, his whimsical attitude towards students will be the downfall of your grades. I've take a lot of classes in college and no matter the grade, I learned. For this class you will NOT learn. He assigns long assignments that no one finishes. Go to another section.DS2001 2020-03-17 18:25:32 +0000 UTC
From my understanding, almost half (at least one third) of the students dropped the class, and that should be a fair indication of the quality and the difficulty of the class. He seems like a nice and understanding guy, but honestly the way he teaches are not so organized and often leaves students confused.MATH3175 2020-12-05 03:23:16 +0000 UTC
Amazing time in Calc 2. Came in super rusty on all fronts, but really enjoyed the class and felt like I learned quite a bit. He curved everything massively, weekly quizzes were easy, he dropped probably a quarter of them, and gave ample opportunities for extra credit. No excuses if you did badly in this dude's class haha.MATH1342 2023-07-25 21:25:25 +0000 UTC
Blankers is the goat. Best professor I've had at this school so far. Clearly and concisely described all the annoying Calc 2 topics. Funny guy that made class enjoyable, although would go off topic for a little too long during class time but idc. Had lots of office hours and study groups. For sure take him for Calc 2MATH1342 2023-05-25 21:15:32 +0000 UTC
This is genuinely one of the best professors I have had. From explaining concepts thoroughly through interesting lectures, heavy partial credit, and holding extra office hours before exams, he truly cares about his students succeeding. Attendance and homework is not mandatory, but there are new concepts everyday, so I recommend it.MATH1342 2023-04-13 19:58:33 +0000 UTC
He is not caring at all. He doesn't care about the well-being of students. He is not good at all. Find another professor.MATH1342 2023-04-10 15:30:18 +0000 UTC
Great guy, loves to interact with his class. Easily accessible both via email and during office hours (go, don't be afraid to ask questions), grades more than fairly, and gives adequate opportunities for extra points through test corrections and dropped quizzes.MATH1342 2023-04-08 17:18:44 +0000 UTC
I had him for calc 2 and honestly enjoyed most lectures. He would typically go off on funny tangents and made class more enjoyable. Allows you to earn half credit back on the tests and drops three lowest quiz grades. also gives practice exam before each test, so you know exact structure and questions you'll see. I'd suggest for calc 2.MATH1342 2022-12-09 05:41:35 +0000 UTC
