I took CS 5004 with Prof Vido last summer. He is the best CS professor I have ever had. I liked how he teaches by example and tries to engage the class with what he is teaching. fundies 2, my bad scores are just me bombing exams still passed though, he's a very nice guy who sometimes seemed irritated with students but that happens to everyone in the fundies course as it approaches the end. Very good professor who knows what he's talking about. Content might not come naturally to everyone, but Vido and the TAs will help you get a 100 on assignments if you do your work and ask questions. CS 5010 was a hard class but Prof Vido made it great! I heard Dr. Shesh was the standard teacher for this class so I was afraid Prof Vido wouldn't do a good job, but he did fantastic and was very knowledgeable. He is a good presenter. He seems to want everyone get A so that he loose the grading and deadline very often. He also skip loads of good content in lecture on website to make the lecture easy. A great professor for those who have trouble paying attention in lectures, Vidoje is able to keep you engaged while also thoroughly explaining code. Hes a great professor! When I needed help he was patient and spent a lot of time helping me. Class is not hard, show up and keep up with the work and its an easy A. 2 big tests that are 60% of grade (which you can redo once). Vido is a professor who cares that you learn and understand the material and will take time to explain a concept. The lectures are 3 hours long and he does what he can to be entertaining and bring real world details into the lecture material. OOD is such a heavy class in terms of workload and difficulties, but Vidoje always keeps lectures as light and engaging as possible and always shows the real life applications of the material. Vido is an amazing professor: he's an engaging lecturer and is super funny. My issue with Vido is more so because of how he and the other profs manage CS2510 rather than his lectures themselves.
