Best professor I met so far. His lecture is interesting and inspiring. He can very flexible about the homework as long as he knows you're really working on it and just need more time. His goal is to make sure you really learned something from his class, so as long as you put enough effort, you'll get a good grade! Love him!CS6200 2020-08-26 19:41:48 +0000 UTC
Teaches really well. One of the finest professor who can chunk down complex concepts in Machine Learning and Algorithms to a simple understanding. Provide exposure to Professional knowledge and Industry practice besides academic boundary.CS6140 2019-05-08 15:54:29 +0000 UTC
He teaches well but assumes that you already have knowledge on the topic. So he is not so good for beginners. His assignments are difficult but really good. He is very passionate about whatever he teaches but doesn't have a proper course structure.CS6220 2018-06-28 06:21:15 +0000 UTC
Alg. & D.S. was easy enough if you've programmed before, but be prepared for work if you haven't. He does seem to explain the subject well, however.CS1500 2012-12-02 19:00:28 +0000 UTC

He's a very inspirational and motivating lecturer. His section is definitely twice as hard as the other sections, but in terms of knowledge and what you get out of the course, much better too. HWs are incredibly time-consuming, midterm is 8-hours (pizza provided) and the final is 6-hours long. Going to Office Hours are very helpful!CS5800 2024-12-17 07:01:34 +0000 UTC
Accelerated Section. Difficult class and content, requires attending lectures and OH. Honest and chill professor, does not care much about deadlines and attendance as long as the work is completed. Not a tough grader but the class requires time and effort.CS1800 2024-12-27 10:18:45 +0000 UTC
GOD OF CCIS. Best professor I've had!CS6200 2020-04-26 19:09:28 +0000 UTC
From my opinion, he is one of the best Prof. in the CS department. I took his CS6140(machine learning), and will be his TA for CS5800(algorithms). He can explain very complex and difficult concepts clearly, in a human language. Homework is tough, you have to implement very thing on your own. If you don't want waste your money, go to him.CS6140 2015-12-23 12:32:44 +0000 UTC
Easily one of the best professor ever!! He is genuinely interested in teaching, knows what he is doing and loves to answer questions during or after class. You can take any of his but beware there is gonna be lots of homework. His classes are worth it.CS6220 2018-06-19 21:07:08 +0000 UTC
A very hard prof., but a very good one as well. For a grade class, the homeworks he gives can take 20+ hours, which is what he expects, and the exams are long and hard, but you will get a lot out of his course. He gives great lectures and is more than willing to work with students to help you succeed, despite being a very challenging course.CS5800 2024-12-03 20:07:52 +0000 UTC
Accelerated Section. Loved the class but takes a lot of time and effort out of students. Make sure to go to office hours because you will likely need it. Midterm and final are both 4 hours long - he intends that most of the time is spent thinking of the solutions and doing the math will not take as long. The actual class and hw are also like this.CS1800 2024-12-18 22:34:31 +0000 UTC
The best professor at NEU. He is tough, but the outcome of the course is worth the struggle.CS5800 2023-12-19 16:45:12 +0000 UTC
