The only reason I did well in this class was because I studied a ton outside of lecture. The material should have been super easy but Feng made it unnecessarily difficult as he was unable to explain basic course concepts. I appreciated the joke of a project though, helped my grade in the end.MATH1231 2017-04-19 21:07:44 +0000 UTC
He does not do well with answering questions and just teaches using the theorems given in the textbook. He uses very few realistic examples.MATH2341 2017-04-06 12:16:40 +0000 UTC
He comes to class late, isn't prepared, and reads straight from the book. Better off reading the book in your room.MATH2321 2017-01-12 10:17:09 +0000 UTC
Feng is a physicist studying the string theory, very smart but arrogant and expects you to be able to keep up with him. His lectures are fast and 80% of the time you'll be lost unless you tell him to slow down. 10 Quizzes overall and 2 exams that are very hard. Final is worth 40% of ur grade so you have to study. Wouldn't take him again.MATH1231 2016-12-20 10:22:32 +0000 UTC
He is the absolute worst! He is very difficult to understand and pronounces many words incorrectly (says "corn" instead of cone, etc) He doesn't fully explain anything and leaves everything "for home." He also reads directly out of textbook, so you might as well just stay home & teach yourself out of the textbook or use tutoring centerMATH2341 2017-04-04 17:15:48 +0000 UTC
He very clearly doe not know how to teach. He is clearly very intelligent, but doesnt understand we are in the class to learn. Often when people ask questions, he will get confused and tell us that it is because of a theorm in the book he didnt teach is, and then look at us like we are stupid. Tests and quizes have a few very difficult questions.MATH2341 2017-03-02 16:36:28 +0000 UTC
