The course follows the textbook closely, and lectures can sometimes feel slow paced and occasionally get confusing. Slides and in class assignments are very good for studying, and exams and grading are all very fair. She's an average lecturer; definitely wasn't as engaging as other professors I've had at the University. Prof. Sarkar is always enthusiastic, approachable, has good humor. Covered all medical imaging modalities w perfect pace. Ensures everyone is on track with check-ins during lectures; willing to answer questions. A lot of practice problems were assigned and if that's the way you learn then she might be the professor for you, but the problems were nothing like the exam ones. Lectures were okay and done so in a monotone voice. In class she is condescending and rude to people who try to participate in class and answer a question. Professor Sarkar did a great job explaining concepts in an easy to understand way. In class assignments were super helpful in keeping up with the content and expectations were clear for the quizzes and exams. Homework was quite time consuming so start early! Professor Sarkar has one speed that she goes at during lectures where she reads off of slides with little enthusiasm and often drones on. She is unorganized and often assigns work later than she said she would. She responds to emails slowly and inconsistently. Tough class but great professor. Stay focused and you can do well. Here's my advice: complete every homework, but totally disregard the questions - focus on in-class examples and textbook problems instead. Reading the textbook helps a ton. Sarkar did a great job explaining the topics, even if the lectures were a bit dry and repetitive. She clearly explained what is needed on all the quizzes and exams in the class.
