This professor was enlightening. I've never experienced such wisdom and profoundness from any mentor… I mean professor. Although tough at grading, she truly is the Miyagi of Northeastern.STRT4501 2025-07-06 22:24:56 +0000 UTC
Skip this class if you want a good grade and avoid a lazy professor. She asks her students to come up with multiple-choice questions to use for the next semester. Does not clearly explain the concepts in the lectures, she expects you to read the long articles on your own and figure out the content.MGTU501 2024-05-17 03:09:50 +0000 UTC
Oh boy, where to begin? Trick questions on the quizzes? check. Crucial intentional misspellings on the quizzes? check. Technical difficulties and late responses depending on your instructor? Check. This class was a joke. It was more about trying to trick you than actually teaching you the material.MGT501 2018-11-21 19:44:09 +0000 UTC
The worst professor at Northeastern. If you go to office hours you can see 50% of the time she doesn't know what she's talking about and the other 50% of the time she has no idea how to teach to people who don't understand the material (her advice to do better in the class is "gain more common sense"). Take the class only if you need to.STRT4501 2025-06-27 01:09:57 +0000 UTC
Good professorMGTU501 2024-01-09 22:32:34 +0000 UTC
Most lectures are dragged out unnecessarily, and classes are very boring. Participate and you'll do well.MGT501 2008-01-10 23:26:20 +0000 UTC
Prof Lamin gives great feedback and tries to help students at all times. Not the end of the world, but if you CAN, avoid her class. She graded papers kindly and offered many office hours but constantly interrupted students and was rude in emails. One long group project difficult if you get a bad group and a lot of homework if taking as summer classSTRT4501 2025-06-12 19:34:38 +0000 UTC
Best business teacher I've ever had. Actually makes you WANT to participate; great discussions.MGTU501 2008-03-21 17:56:56 +0000 UTC
All the reviews are true. Please don't take this professor, it was an online class in the summer and every HW was lockdown browser+webcam. 30% of class withdrawn from it. Avoid at all costs, she thinks her class is the most important, even though she knows for a lot of people its the last class needed to graduate and they have jobs already.STRT4501 2025-06-09 20:48:25 +0000 UTC
I have never done a rate my professor before today. I am here to tell you AVOID AT ANY MEANS POSSIBLE. This will be, and I exaggerate in no way or form, the WORST class experience you will ever have. Questions phrased like riddles, an all-consuming workload, and a completely incoherent array of learning material. RUN. YOU WERE WARNED.............STRT4501 2025-05-23 01:18:20 +0000 UTC
This is the worst professor at Northeastern. Every quiz question is a trick question. You can listen to the lectures and do the readings three times over, but unless you can guess what she's thinking, you won't do well. She'll give you a question where 3/4 answers are correct, but you have to figure out which she thinks is "MOST" correct. Unfair.STRT4501 2025-05-13 02:50:03 +0000 UTC
Her online lectures are short and not very coherent. Their are readings for her lectures, but often the content is contradictory. She sort of 'freestyles' the concepts without thorough explanations. Overall, a professor that makes very little effort and relies heavily on ChatGPT and outdated teaching materialsSTRT4501 2025-04-27 19:21:54 +0000 UTC
Tricky professor—much of the work consists of open-ended riddles intended to deceive AI, but end up deceiving you. She is often looking for exact answers, leaving little room for originality, because rather than learning to apply the concept, you're trying to decode how she would apply it. This makes sources other than her words useless.STRT4501 2025-04-25 17:41:22 +0000 UTC
Awful learning experiences. Extremely tough grader. The professor will give you a very subjective low grade and won't tell you why. All the comments I received from professors were "poor performance." Please don't take her class. Save you time and money.STRT4501 2025-04-04 18:14:08 +0000 UTC
AWFUL professor! Extremely rude in emails. Her grading feels arbitrary, as if she doesn't even read the assignments before assigning a grade. This class was a waste of time, and she's by far the worst professor I've had at Northeastern. No opportunities for improvement, and the course feels designed to make students fail.STRT4501 2024-12-11 03:09:55 +0000 UTC
