Professor Odom gave great lectures, and the syllabus was very clear from the beginning. He listens to students and adjusts the syllabus and lesson planning based on our wants. AMAZING - super nice guy who knows how to teach. He also has some amazing work experience that he shares, infused with Ted talks, which makes the classes overall interesting. You are treated like a consultant and learn how to give executive presentations, work effectively in teams, problem-solve, and other valuable skills. You are required to learn and to use AI. The professor did a great job creating an inclusive environment with fun assignments and group projects. The class was primarily based on a group simulation project. Try to get close to your groupmates, as your enjoyment of the class will probably depend heavily on that. He is very understanding and helpful if you ask him questions. The curriculum lacked clarity, especially around the paid online simulation. We were expected to “figure it out” without foundational instruction, and questions about how it worked were not clearly answered. Lectures felt disconnected from Canvas and the Sim. Dr. Odom is awesome!! Super knowledgeable in consulting and shares a lot of his personal experience. He's really down to earth and treats his students as equals. Class is very discussion and activity heavy.
