Completely inaccessible by email so if you take class online good luck. In life you will encounter professors who are seemingly rude for the fun of it and that is this guy. One of my worst experience by far. Bob has proved that he is not a careful listener and doesn't engage well with students. On multiple occasions he has mentioned something to me and the next time I bring it up, he denies having said it; or he won't say something, and then later insist he did. Had ORGB with professor Steere. His demeanor can be a bit offputting since he's a bit serious but the discussion and course material was actually very interesting to me. If you want to succeed in his class, don't be late, be respectful and actually participate. Prof Steere's class is very straightforward. He will tell you everything you need to succeed in the syllabus. There are pop quizzes on readings so you must keep up, a big presentation, and 2 papers. Steere's Leadership Seminar was an excellent senior course. Through case studies and in-class discussions, Prof. Steere shows the many different aspects of leadership. Don't listen to these other bad reviews! I have no idea why he even has any. Professor Steere was one of the best profs I've had at NEU. He is well versed in the subject and gives great feedback. I had the unfortunate experience of being in a class taught by Steere who displayed a shocking level of rudeness and a complete lack of concern for his students. It was clear that he had an infatuation with attempting to fail students rather than fostering a positive learning environment. I LOVE Professor Steere. Although he may seem like a tough professor, he really cares about each of his students. If you don't show up, you wont pass.
