Armen is such a sweet man. His lectures are pretty dry but he gives lots of good feedback and he operates on a generous curve so you know what to expect. I got sunk on one midterm but he was very generous with grading and he made HW worth a lot. He is a nice man if you can take him but know you need to put in the work outside of class to succeed.PHYS2303 2020-12-21 17:11:15 +0000 UTC
Really, Really, Really nice person. Honestly cares about students doing well and really tries to be fair. He definitely knows what he is doing too and was able to answer any question in class. Accessible in office hours. Material was just really hard and the class was not long enough. I needed to read a lot from the text book.PHY3601 2019-01-07 21:17:50 +0000 UTC
Very nice professor. Lectures are sort of confusing though, didn't miss one lecture but I still had to rely heavily on the textbook to learn most things. MasteringPhysics is the homework, which wasn't the most fun but wasn't the worst.PHYS1147 2018-05-15 16:44:07 +0000 UTC
Good physics professor. He gets really deep into the theory behind everything and not so much into the applications, which can be boring boring, but you learn a lot of physics, and he is always willing to help you after class or in his office hours if you don't understand something. I am grateful for all he taught me.PHYS1161 2014-04-26 12:54:35 +0000 UTC
Super nice guy, very clear in his explanations. Thermo and Stat Mech are tough subjects, and he understands that. If you read the book and go to class, you will do well.PHYS2305 2013-04-14 20:03:32 +0000 UTC
I found his lectures to be very clear for the most part although there were times when things were a little hazy. The weekly quizzes were super easy but exams were a little tough. He was always available after class for a bit if you needed something explained. I'd definitely recommend taking his class, it's a nice blend of learning and easePHYS1145 2012-12-10 04:55:27 +0000 UTC
He's great. He always makes hard topics seem so simple, and explains everything very clearly through examples.PHY145 2007-01-13 15:26:15 +0000 UTC
Very good prof. Nice guy. I enjoyed the class a lot.PHYSICSII 2006-08-13 22:35:35 +0000 UTC
Eh, he's a nice guy, and fairly clear, but can't explain actual problems, although, to be fair, he never tries. Too theoretical, no application.PHYU151 2006-05-10 02:54:03 +0000 UTC
hard class but you can tell he tries his best for usPHYSICSI 2006-05-01 16:08:54 +0000 UTC
Good teacher, had him for physics 1 lecture at 8:00 a.m. Knows his stuff, answers questions if you have them, managed to keep me awake at 8 in the morning, can be funny sometimes as well.PHYS151 2006-03-26 19:37:28 +0000 UTC
very theoretical, would rather derive equations than go over steps of problem solvingPHY151 2006-03-15 09:25:33 +0000 UTC
