Dr. Bansil has made ILS absolutely terrible. He zoom taught all this year, and he can't really teach that well. His grading was subjective, took random points off for no reasons. ILS is already an annoying class and he made it unbearable. Avoid if you canPHYS1151 2022-04-07 12:12:33 +0000 UTC

Easiest class ever...if you can't get an A in this class you don't belong in college. its similar to phsyical science like 8th grade and freshman year of high school. i never opened the book, just take notes in class and do the homework.INTROTOSCIENC 2005-12-29 22:52:26 +0000 UTC
Hilarious, this guy loves science and all the gadgets and fun things that go with itPHYU121 2005-04-04 23:24:20 +0000 UTC
Way easy class, but the teachers make it way more interesting than I thought it would be. They always have experiments and make sure students understand what's going on. Expect Midterm, Final, and Quizzes.INTROSCIENCE 2004-12-15 20:56:59 +0000 UTC
he's really easy, but makes you feel like you're in kindergarden. accent can get really annoying at times. really excited about science. this class was also taught by dr. gross who's really nice and easier to understand.INTROSCI 2004-12-07 09:24:30 +0000 UTC
Professor Bansil is a really nice man but a horrible teacher. He could not even begin to understand the mind of a student who did not know the material as well as he did. His lectures were very long and boring and one usually got nothing out of them. I had to teach most of the topics to myself and I asked for help from other profs. in the dept.PHYS1151 2018-04-17 20:59:56 +0000 UTC
SO funny...he loves science so much and gets a kick out of the simplest things...easy quizzes and tests...easy grader...INTROTOSCI 2005-08-25 13:16:27 +0000 UTC
Class is WAY too easy, hence extremely boring. The assistant, Dr. Gross, should have taught the class himself. He always brings the powerpoint + experiments. It's really funny when Prof Bansil acts like an excited kid when he gets to play with the experiments. EVERYTHING posted on Blackboard.PHYU121 2004-12-08 15:05:08 +0000 UTC
Many of these ratings are from more than a decade ago, so I will offer my take: He's an average teacher, not particularly good, but not terrible. Lecture are pretty bland, but he explains the topics thoroughly and answers any questions. I can't speak to his exams/quizzes as they are standardized across the board for Physics students.PHYS1151 2017-04-01 15:49:44 +0000 UTC
