Prof. Russell is great, and his class is one of the most applicable classes at Northeastern. Taking his class during the summer is challenging, as his class is already fast paced and the shortened semester makes it even more fast paced. MIS is a dry topic but Russell really tries to make it interesting with anecdotes and cases. He has had many interesting experiences that he shares with the class. If you follow the rubric and put in the effort, you should receive a good grade. The tests are pure memorization and follow the study guide. Best business professor at Northeastern, highly passionate about the subject. He really makes you work for the class, but he makes the class entertaining and engaging enough to work for it. Interesting professor. He is a stickler when he grades and demands participation, but he is still fair and consistent. He tells you what he is looking for in the 3 tests he gives. NO FINAL! As other people mentioned, if you want decent grade, avoid him. He is a outstanding professor, one of the best i've had, but his grading is harsh and he is far from being flexible. Best teacher I have had so far at NU! He loves his job, and makes going to class fun! His grading system is very clear and he is always willing and able to help his students...he really cares! Best teacher in the business school. Enthusiastic, fun, and energetic. The class focuses on one case and you go through the full implementation of change by integrating systems. Professor Russell is a really funny, fun and nice professor. He tries to get every student involved in class discussions. There is no final exam. His two exams contain lots of memorization. I love Bruce! He was very clear and energetic. A bit dorky but in an adorable way. I fully understood everything that was going on, and I did great in the class because of how thoroughly he went over the material.
