Loved this professor! Expectations were very clear and possible to achieve with a little hard work. He really wants you to understand the concepts, as well as be able to solve problems. Every day I left class more confused than I came in. I didn't even look at his notes when I studied because it was so confusing. Midterm was fine, final was hard: Mean70 Med75 High 94. ILS quizzes were difficult. Barely offered any office hours, especially for the size of the class. Took Phys 1 and 2 for engineering with him. He teaches these classes like you're going to pursue a PhD in physics. This man is lowkey so boring. I had taken physics before but was forced to take calc based in this class, and he made everything so much more complicated than needed. In all that he said, 10% was important but that got lost in the 90% of yap. I gave up trying to follow along and just taught myself the main concepts later. Passionate about what he is teaching and gets excited when people ask questions, however, sometimes he uses math that goes beyond what is expected for this course. The grading criteria is extremely fair and I always felt like on the quizzes/tests a lot of partial credit was given. Professor Camille was a very good professor for Physics 2. He's very caring and helpful (especially during ILS). Read the textbook before his lectures (the readings will help you understand what's happening in class) and the group work in ILS will help you prepare for the quiz. Good guy, really cares about his class. If you haven't taken calc 3 the class can be a bit tricky but with the HW and Lab propping up your grade you'll do fine. Camille was a solid professor for Physics 2. He is definitely passionate about the subject and likes to demonstrate a lot of the concepts in class. A lot of the homework that was assigned was confusing, however, and did not always reflect the material covered in class through the lectures. He's super passionate and cares that his students understand the course. However, you definitely have to put in the work if you want to do good on the final/midterm (mostly just based off of in-class/hw problems). He is a nice guy who wants the best for his students, but I think he should be teaching more advanced classes. The homework "goes a little beyond in-class material" and is impossible to do without going to office hours/looking online. Lectures were rushed and many topics weren't explained clearly. Sometimes the course went way too in-depth. Be prepared to read the textbook. There is one homework per week; Camille is super helpful at office hours. Exams were ok, mostly based on quizzes and problems done in lecture.
