Boyd is a great professor. There is very little coursework. Do the readings before class, participate, study for the midterm, and do well on the final project and you're good to go. A lot of required case study readings for class discussions. Two 4 page papers, and a final project. This class is extremely well constructed and interesting. Prof. Boyd is an extremely smart and honest man. I'm a senior and I can honestly say that he is my absolute favorite professor at NU. This guy is amazing. I've taken two of his classes, and he insprires me to take more. He is the best teacher that Northeastern has, due to his respect for student opinion, different course work, and easy grading style. The key to getting an A, just apply his concepts to your work. No book, all articles in packet and pass outs in class. REALLY interesting discussions, group activities and movie clips in class. No HW except readings. 3 major assignments. Professor Boyd is easily the best professor I've had at Northeastern University. The readings he assigns are not the typical chapter upon chapter readings that most professors assign, they are short articles that are actually relevant.
