Doug is an incredible professor on music. It's a lot of labs, group project work, and quizzes, but he is lenient on grading and he caters to those who may not be music majors or have background knowledge in ProTools. Loved his class for Recording 1 and 2!MUSI2332 2023-11-22 18:26:04 +0000 UTC
I love Doug. Best professor I've had so far. Had him for both recording 1 and 2 and I wish he taught more because I would take any class of his. He's always cracking jokes during lectures and getting off topic but in the best way. Learned a lot and especially loved how hands on Recording 2 is.MUSI2231 2023-04-27 00:44:39 +0000 UTC
Doug Bielmeier really brought his job as a mix engineer to fruition in my mind. He's very understanding of his students when they have "off-day" and doesn't hesitate to accommodate our needs to the best of his ability. He's great at answering questions in a well communicated manner and he's quite charismatic as well.MUSI2232 2023-04-02 17:18:29 +0000 UTC
The instructor provides good feedback on all of the labs and is always reachable either by Zoom or email. He gives great advice and is patient when troubleshooting. The class seems comfortable, but still maintains a professional environment. In this way, class is something to look forward to.MUSI2332 2022-06-09 16:02:42 +0000 UTC

I really thought a recording class would be sort of a silly Easy A. But after studying with master recording engineer and composer Dr. Doug Bielmeier I realized how important recording is and what a specific set of skills it demands.MUSI2332 2020-06-02 01:06:20 +0000 UTC
Worst teacher ever. Wrong about everything. The fact that this guy is pawning himself off as a music recording teacher is an afront to music and audio education. Do yourself a favor - don't listen to a word this guy says!MUSI2232 2023-03-09 04:50:59 +0000 UTC
Congrats to Dr. Doug on his promotion to Full Teaching Professor! Can't wait to take recording 2 with him this fall.MUSI2232 2022-06-09 16:06:24 +0000 UTC

I liked that Doug gave us the materials to be very online or very in-person if need be. He was extremely comprehensive in his teaching and understanding in the online environment.MUSI2232 2022-06-09 15:57:19 +0000 UTC
Doug is so inclusive, and it's so clear that he really cares about making people feel safe in his space. This is a really delicate time, and I don't think all professors have handled COVID well, but Doug has clearly gone above and beyond to create an environment for all.MUSI2232 2022-06-09 15:52:01 +0000 UTC
