Took 3310. He would constantly give us the wrong information (especially when it came to the algorithm/work problems) and then when we were completing them wrong, would try to gaslight us. I took Professor Huq's morning SCHM 3310 course. A lot of his information was out of date and just flat out not right. Professor Huq also always thought he was right and could never be wrong. I took SCHM3310 with professor Huq and the class was very enjoyable especially if your interested in transportation. The professor is very knowledgable on the topic and makes the class an engaging discussion based class. Participation is very important to your success. The class content was really boring but he cared about it. Very knowledgeable in the subject. If you didn't participate he didn't like you. If you disagreed with him, he did not respect that. He is a harsh grader who lets you go to his office hours but doesn't explain. He says this is the answer and assumes the students know why. Exams are challenging, and everyone dislikes his teaching style because he reads off the slides. I participated and never missed a class, but still got lower than a 7/10 for participation. Took this class online, and it was A LOT of work. Definitely not unmanageable, but probably the most time-consuming async class I have taken at Northeastern. Exams are difficult and heavily weighted (60%). Terrible. His solution sheet for his practice exam will have tiny tiny differences in the question itself making the answer completely different and you have to figure it out, he will not tell you. Prof. Huq was great! His lectures are interesting, and I enjoy his teaching style. If you read the textbook chapters and participate, the class is engaging, and you will do well on tests. He is hilarious and entertaining and clearly actually passionate about the subject.
