I'm in Professor Zhu's Materials class this semester. This Thursday, when I asked her about my Midterm 1, surprisingly, she know every single number-even the exponents-at every step of the solution! I learned so much from Prof Zhu in MATL6280. The course content was vast. There were topics that were more difficult; she gave great attention to those topics for students to cement concepts. I took her class and scored 97 out of 100 on Midterm 1 and 91 out of 100 on Midterm 2. Her class is well organized. However, this course includes many concepts, terminologies, and calculations, so it does require additional efforts to read textbook outside of class. I took her class in spring 2020, during the hit of COVID 19 pandemic. While many classes faced challenges during that time, her classes always ran smoothly. She was consistently punctual and never missed a class due to COVID. Well, she had an accent. But I'm from Texas myself. I'm proud of my Texas accent. This is where I'm from. I had the opportunity to work with Prof. Zhu for two semesters in IE4530-first as a student in her class and later as TA. During my time as her student in the Fall 2025, I was truly impressed by her dedication. Despite being 9 months pregnant, she stood and lectured for 100 minutes without any complain or excuses.
