The work was "easy" but mentally this was by far the worst class Ive taken in college as a third year. This man is SCARY & CREEPY. I have watched him make someone cry at 8:00AM in the god damn morning. I do not know how he has a job teaching here when everyone I know says hes a creep. Nightmare blunt rotation. I couldn't get this class done at any other time, and he was the last option. It shows why. he often psychoanalyzes you, so get ready. He will tell you that you need therapy. He is probably projecting. Get cozy with your classmates because they will be the only thing that keeps you sane. I liked this professor at first- he is definitely different from others in his very personal approach. However, he gave no graded feedback the whole semester so I had no idea if I was doing well in the class. I'm a third year design student now, and I can confirm he was the scariest and rudest professor/teacher I've had in my life. He was extremely creepy and passive agressive. Directions were never clear and expectations as to what a final submission looked like were not clear - no one was ever sure if they did the assignment correctly. He constantly interrupts students with either what he is thinking or to tell them they are wrong and need to be quiet. If you can take any other class, do it. Everyone dreaded class as it was incredibly boring. He constantly mixed up his asian students and stated it was because of the similar names. Bad time management, over personalization + need to be validated by the class stop him earning respect and teaching well. The summer semester started good, then he started to miss class with late notices only 5 mins before the start. The class is easy A/B. If you can take a higher level class DO IT. This professor will give you extensions and let you go virtual for class, But he can go too far with personal questions. He would always start class with personal chit chat, that I found to be a little too much. Be prepared to make eye contact for 3.5 hours straight... if you doze off he WILL notice. Assignments seem clear when it's actually super vague. Has interrupted students more than once every single class and has made weird comments about women, and looks agitated when you can't follow his unclear assignments. I made an account just to warn others to never take a class with this professor. He literally cancels class within minutes notice and one time taught class while driving. Never emails back students and doesn't show grades for any assignment. Throws hissy fits when students don't follow his vague, complex, and hard to follow assignments. This man is the vaguest professor I've ever had in my life. None of the assignments ever make sense. He has long assignment descriptions on canvas, but it's just wordy fine art jargon that doesn't help anyone. I have no idea what my grade is and we have a month left of class.
