Had him twice for different classes (COMM2131 and COMM1131). L a z i e s t teaching style ever, especially in summer- just posts old lecture videos and grades you on 4 self-made exams. He is AMAZING. As long as you follow exactly what was on the study guide then you would be fine. A lot of materials to memorize. Not a very harsh grader. My favorite professor. Clear guidelines and expectations for the class. Yes, you need to put time into studying, but a lot of the studying will be review because his lectures really stick. Great professor. Lectures/content is super interesting and engaging fun to listen to. Lots of lectures and tests in my opinion were not super good at measuring how much you know - some questions are vague/unfair, hard to do super well even if you know everything. Grade was based off of 4 exams on respondus. Final exam is cumulative. The only materials were lectures and textbook readings, the readings were extremely long. The exams were difficult, even though I felt like I understood the concepts. Way too time consuming and difficult for a class about sex and relationships. He's a good guy. I had public speaking with him this past semester and although the material for that class is repetitive and boring, he found ways to make it interesting. His quizzes were right from the notes, as were his tests. Avoid at all cost! The materials in lectures are simple and straightforward, but the questions in tests are hard, some of which never appeared in his lectures.
