Best Professor I've had. She is very clear with her expectations, and goes out of her way to help students understand the material. The work can be hard, but her grading is fair. Her classes are funny and engaging. No matter what your major is, I recommend at least one class with her.COMM1101 2013-03-08 18:09:21 +0000 UTC

Professor Gans is extremely enthusiastic and deeply cares for her students. Her Coursework is perfectly suited for communications and/or health sciences majors. In her Health Communication course we read 2 books that have changed my perspective and outlook on life! Inspirational! Overall an excellent teacher and mentor and extremely fair.COMM1 2012-04-25 12:34:45 +0000 UTC
I had Professor Rachel Gans for 20th century media and she is great. Likes to bring up great discussion material and show provocative documentaries. Hope for an active class because she feeds off her students.COMM204 2012-04-22 12:05:35 +0000 UTC
Excellent instructor with humor and a lightheartedness that students love, while still maintaining the responsibilities of a disciplined professor. I would strongly recommend her. There are three individual speeches (intro, information, persuasive) plus a group presentation at the end. Each needs an outline, and peer review or evaluation.COMM1112 2011-12-06 21:57:01 +0000 UTC
Professor Gans is awesome! There's no other way to say it. She is the perfect teacher I have ever had. She cares about us, wants us to do well, makes the material super easy, BUT, we're still learning! It's not a BS class, you actually do get the grade you put into it. This is Health Comm I am talking about btw.COMA 2011-12-02 08:56:08 +0000 UTC
Rachel is an amazing teacher and person in general. She truly cares about the work her studens produce and treats them like capable academic scholars. She's vy funny, too, which of course makes any classroom environment better. I'd take her class again any day!COMM1120 2011-04-17 13:51:36 +0000 UTC

I had Ms. Gans last year for both intro comm and 20th century media. She is awesome. No stupid speeches, tests are straight forward and relevant to the coursework, and shes clear about the guidelines for her papers. She doesnt call on you if you dont raise your hand (i hate that). Overall, her class is pleasurable to go toCOMM1101 2012-09-02 23:49:48 +0000 UTC
Rachel is one of the best professors at Northeastern. I was lucky enough to have her twice this semester for Health Communication and 20th Century Media, and her commitment to helping you learn is unmatched. She is extremely clear and is one of the best lecturers I have ever had. I would recommend her to everyone!!COMM3423 2012-04-18 20:43:26 +0000 UTC
She's awesome. Highly recommended.COMM3201 2012-04-25 12:16:49 +0000 UTC
Great teacher for Public Speaking class. She is good at teaching and is motivated to teach you almost all of the time. When she isn't, she rants about her daily life like traffic. However, this isn't a bad thing as it adds life to the classroom, and if you take advantage of this, you can even learn from her while she rants!COMM1112 2011-11-25 22:39:23 +0000 UTC
Great Professor, I have really taken alot out of this class. Keeps the class engaged with her humor and interest for the material. I would definitely recommend her!COMM1120 2010-04-16 16:51:14 +0000 UTC
