Easy class if you attend and take notes and pay attention. Her tests are exactly like her homework and in class examples. Not much review for tests, but just do the inclass examples. Grades very fairly!ACCT2301 2025-12-24 00:02:12 +0000 UTC
Moreno is a very sweet professor that makes the class really fun and engaging. This, however, doesn't take away the fact that exams are extremely difficult, with very little to study on. She makes up questions so you will have to know the basics and apply them. Recommendation: If you are a good exam taker, go ahead, and if not, stay awayACCT3416 2023-03-20 23:02:40 +0000 UTC
She is a tough but very fair teacher. The book does not seem necessary, but if you want to do well it is a must to have. The practice problems at the end of the chapters are the best way to review for her tests, and some of the questions are very similar to some of them. If you show interest in the class she is willing to do a lot to help you.3416 2014-10-31 13:24:14 +0000 UTC
Like many courses, you get what you put in to it. If you're looking for an easy A, this isn't the place. If you want to learn a ton through application of accounting rather than staring at a book, Moreno is the professor for youACCT301 2010-05-11 22:24:49 +0000 UTC
Poor teacher overall. Lacks patience, lacks expertise.ACCT201 2010-05-03 12:57:50 +0000 UTC
Pretty chill but hard class so if you want an A take another professorACCT2301 2025-12-18 00:24:25 +0000 UTC
I was having a hard time in the class and went to office hours, specifically to review after not doing well on one of the exams. Instead of taking time to re-review the problems/concepts she asked me who was in my group project and told me I'll be fine because the other two in my group are smart. Made me feel even worse and clearly not helpfulACCT3416 2022-08-29 20:22:23 +0000 UTC
1. Moreno is a good, but not an effective teacher. She over complicates the concepts and makes the test really hard, compared to class work. Every class, she would read through the power points and do in class problems. The problems in class are pretty fair. BUT, on the test, she makes everything super complicated. Bad teaching style, period.3416 2013-12-09 13:20:33 +0000 UTC
she's a nice person and classes are good. she goes through examples in class. she has 0 tolerance for late work and homework is not labeled well on canvas. her notes in class are ok but very bare minimum and gives 0 study materials for tests so you need to use the textbook but not all the textbook material relates to the test.ACCT2301 2025-12-11 19:56:36 +0000 UTC
Moreno is a good prof and a great person. Patient and thorough in her explanations. I appreciated that she would do every problem with us. The tests were very difficult and anxiety-inducing, especially because they're a majority of your grade bc there were no HW assignments. Have to put in serious work for this class, but if you do, you'll be fine.ACCT3416 2022-08-20 02:47:10 +0000 UTC
Professor Moreno is not flexible or accommodating whatsoever towards student schedules, which is very disappointing for an online summer course. She is cold and rude when asked for help or assistance. I would recommend avoiding her class if you have any other options available.ACCT2301 2025-06-24 23:32:57 +0000 UTC
My rating is based on her class when I took it, Fall 2015. I was not a good student, but this was the first acct class I enjoyed after my co-ops because it seemed more work-oriented and I learned a lot. She also called me out for being arrogant for the first time in my life and that's why I'm writing this years later. She was right. Thank you, KimACCT3416 2019-05-11 00:35:03 +0000 UTC
Lectures are very unhelpful- she doesn't break questions down, nor is she able to teach topics thoroughly, but rather assumes you remember everything from prior courses. Policy on late work is cruel- handing out zeros rather than partial credit. Assigns a long case activity paper, with harsh expectations and rubric. Worst for online classes.ACCT2301 2025-06-14 06:02:13 +0000 UTC
the class is a walk through of oversimplified problems via powerpoint and then doing in class problems. these problems are fine but it's the only thing we have to study for the test, and the test is obscure questions that are not whats done in class. her grading is also biased - points back to some people but not others for similar mistakesACCT3416 2018-04-19 11:26:24 +0000 UTC
Professor Moreno is a great professor and is extremely knowledgable about the subject. She always has office hours and highly encourages them to go over any tests to prepare for the final. She is happy to explain any questions and explains the material well. However, the course is 65% exam based, so be prepared to study.ACCT2301 2025-04-09 20:50:52 +0000 UTC
