Don't let the negative reviews deter you from taking Zullo. He's a solid professor, and I felt the level of work and expectations aligned with tax being a 4000 level class. Just stay on top of the readings, assignments/projects, and studying and you'll do fine.ACCT4414 2025-12-17 01:51:16 +0000 UTC
Very good professor who values getting work in on time. If you can't adhere to schedule and submit assignments when you are asked to, don't take his class. If you are ready to learn, his class is for you.ACCT2301 2025-05-20 20:39:57 +0000 UTC
Brutal. Avoid. Sucks. Better off professor who is in other deperarmtnets, he not nice and give BAD exam to all his students.ACCT441 2018-10-25 16:23:04 +0000 UTC
Prof.Zullo is a great teacher but a hard grader! His classes are not easy but because he teaches the material so well, I recommend him highly!ACCT1201 2014-04-23 14:04:06 +0000 UTC
Prof. Zullo is an amazing teacher. He made the class enjoyable for me. His class isn't easy, but if you do the work you'll be fine. Zullo is very fair with his grading and reasonable with his expectations. He will push you, but at the end of the day you will learn something.ACCT1209 2013-12-10 19:54:34 +0000 UTC
Will he teach you tax? Yes. Does that mean he should be a professor? No. If you have the choice for your accounting elective, don't take this class. There are group projects that you are left alone to drown with and a final that is all multiple choice. Choose the other elective, the credit hours is not worth all the pain this class isACCT4414 2025-12-11 17:47:11 +0000 UTC
I really liked his lecture style as he does a lot of in class practice with questions very similar to the tests. The hardest part is the group projects as you have to figure a lot out on your own but if you ask questions about it in class he is more willing to aid. Just make sure you show up and participate and you'll do well.ACCT2301 2025-05-19 18:41:58 +0000 UTC
Good class but not easy. You have to study for every class, material is not easy. Read slides before class, do all your homework and study for tests, I would say its an easy C+ B- if you are willing to study you should get a BACCT1201 2013-11-20 13:38:03 +0000 UTC
I absolutely love Professor Zullo! He's a great teacher and also has a great sense of humor. I struggled a lot in this class (I'm a music industry major) and he was always available to ask questions, extra help, etc. Really laid back and isn't afraid to give it to you straight! Definitely one of my favorite professors at Northeastern. Awesome!ACCT1209 2013-04-08 16:35:57 +0000 UTC
ACCT 6231 - Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. Those tend to come from students who may not have been prepared for the level of rigor Prof. Zullo expects. He runs his course much like a law school professor would: be on time, be prepared, and be ready to engage. He sets a high bar and holds students accountable.ACCT4414 2025-08-07 17:49:40 +0000 UTC
Just a bad guy overall. He's there to make fun of students and give them a hard time with grades. Northeastern please address this issue!ACCT2301 2025-05-04 21:44:06 +0000 UTC
Professor Zullo is awesome. Although this class is difficult, he truly does everything he can to make his students succeed. He does plenty of examples in class and always asks for questions. He is very fair and will tell you exactly what concepts are covered on tests and exams. He is often available for extra help and makes the class very engaging.ACCT1201 2013-04-20 18:28:34 +0000 UTC
If you are going onto a masters program or taking the CPA exam you want to take him for tax. You actually learn how to do it unlike the other teachers, if not take sm else.ACCT4414 2025-05-20 17:11:48 +0000 UTC
Professor Zullo gets a bad rep because he has high expectations, but if you show up to class and put in the effort to understand the course concepts then you will definitely meet them. He wants whats best for his students and is very understanding esp. if you prove you care. If you aren't willing to put in the effort then this class isn't for you.ACCT2301 2025-04-11 19:43:05 +0000 UTC
Professor Zullo is really great! He does take attendance so you should show up, but it's honestly fine to miss a few days, he doesn't care that much. The quizzes and midterms are fair, not hard but you do have to study to do well. The online homework isn't too bad. He is a really funny guy and is always willing to help out!ACCT1201 2013-04-13 17:21:14 +0000 UTC
