Amazing professor, they have high passion for teaching and made my day every time I came to class. Made me found a love for accounting with his easy lessons that made me understand everything. Hurley is a wonderful guy, I have never met a more caring/engaging professor. Personally, I think his teaching style is tricky to understand, but it's more of the courses fault than his. He cares about the students, apologizes for hard tests, gives back extra credit. He even made helpful packets to understand information after feedback that we don't understand the material. Patrick Hurley is the best professor at Northeastern University. He is an amazing professor with interesting lectures and a positive attitude. He is very caring and tries to increase your grade as much as possible. Not a hard course. He is the reason I am considering a future in accounting. I couldn't recommend Professor Hurley enough. I was terrified before starting ACCT1201 but he is the most welcoming teacher Ive had. You can tell he genuinely respects his students & wants the best. Professor Hurley is the best. He has amazing lectures and cares about his students. He always goes out of his way to make time for us outside of class if we need help. The content can sometimes be difficult to understand, but Professor Hurley explains it in a way that makes sense to whoever he is teaching it to. Professor Hurley is great! Although audit is a boring class, he tried his best to make the lectures enjoyable. He is very understanding and truly wants to see his students succeed, both in and out of the classroom. I was terrified to take this class as I genuinely had zero business knowledge going in, that quickly changed first day. This professor truly is incredible, its still is one of my harder classes but it is also one of my favorites. Hurley really is the GOAT. He is so personally invested in the success of each individual student and provides lots of opportunities for extra credit. You don't need to read the textbook at all, and just need to come to class and pay attention to the lecture. He is great. Attendance is technically not optional, but he is lenient on days you need help. Lectures are not boring; he really simplified the textbook, which is much wordier.
