Professor Martin was overall pretty down-to-earth and clear with her expectations. She posted a day-to-day schedule on Canvas and STICKS to it even if we have to rush through some material to make it happen. That being said I would say doing the homework and reading the textbook are a must for this class as she tends to read off slides every class.ACCT1201 2022-05-09 01:50:48 +0000 UTC
Boring topic made more boring by weak lectures.ACCT1201 2022-05-02 07:13:04 +0000 UTC
Professor Martin was a great professor as long as you paid attention. There were pop quizzes, but she would usually tell you when they were. Homework was easy and you could do it as many times as you needed until you get a 100. Go to class and pay attention and this class will be an easy A.ACCT1201 2022-04-28 20:37:22 +0000 UTC
The professor is amazing! She puts up a tough front but is very kind. For the midterms and exams she basically tells you what is exactly on it. If you are not getting an A in this class you are doing something wrong. If you pay attention in class and engage you do not need to study outside this class and homework will be easy.ACCT1201 2022-04-22 15:09:06 +0000 UTC
She seems to care about her students but her lectures are literally her reading of the slides. She gives annoying pop quizzes and seems to be a little lost at times on what she is teaching.ACCT1201 2021-12-02 17:42:37 +0000 UTC
Awful teacher, she doesnt actually make sure the material is understandable. Instead, she reminds herself of a topic without introducing it and then quickly explains what is going on only so she can understand it. Is not concerned with her students learning.ACCT1201 2021-02-10 22:14:47 +0000 UTC
She is just not an engaging prof, topics that are already boring become even more boring. Has annoying pop quizzes and tests that were weirdly structured. Super tough to followACCT1201 2020-10-30 06:45:00 +0000 UTC
Reading the textbook and completing the homework will be integral to your success in the class because Prof Martin doesn't contribute anything to your learning. In class, she reads off of slides in a monotone voice and doesn't provide additional info or clarification. Does NOT give any feedback, nor does she answer your emails in time.ACCT1201 2020-06-26 00:28:41 +0000 UTC
Very good. Goes over practice examples to fully understand concept. Will answer questions.ACCT1201 2019-10-31 17:26:21 +0000 UTC
The material in class is comprehensible, however the learning will happen outside the class. She only reads the PowerPoint squishing a whole chapter into a class. Apart from learning by your own, expect pop quizzes because thatsthe only thing she does. She is an overall good person and tries her best, but her popquiz and ppt reading motto is a nonoACCT1201 2019-09-26 22:16:08 +0000 UTC
She's super down to earth and knows when the students understand or don't understand the material. By far the easiest of the accounting teachers from what I've heard. However, all accounting classes take the same final, so be prepared to work harder to do well on the final, as quizzes and midterms in this class are kinda oversimplified.ACCT1201 2019-04-02 01:59:50 +0000 UTC
