Teaches as if she's trying to beat down recruits. I was excited to learn & understand IR. Every other course I had was amazing & the professors were everything. She made me want to hate it. Took her course online and spent more time trying to figure out where everything was, what "group" I was in that week and how to use the WIKI tool then learning the course objectives. Was very impressed with the detailed feedback Dr Heller provides each of her students. It is useful and she obviously puts ALOT of time into grading which I appreciated. Absolutely loved Dr. H. There is a lot of reading so get ready to buckle down and really read the concepts, but overall an amazing class with no textbook requirement. Professor Heller is by far one of the worst professors I have ever had PERIOD. She has no clear or concise instruction on how or what she wants for expectations. Despite all this she still makes her courses unclear, unachievable to accomplish, and belittles/makes you feel essentially dumb for your work. Professor Heller teaches as if shes teaching a military course. Teachers like Prof Heller are the reason students dont like school; grades are the only thing that matter. Terrible interaction with students. Her ego is infused in her grading policy. Is very strict on citation yet does not know proper citation herself.
