Margie is the worst professor Ive ever had she didnt tell us our grades until we saw them on our transcript so I didnt know my grade until I saw it at the very end. She also just does not know how to use technology. DO NOT TAKE HER TRUST MEACCT2301 2021-12-21 17:24:44 +0000 UTC
This professor was extremely hard to understand. I barely understood her at all, and when I could, I had missed what she had been saying. Her slideshows are somewhat helpful, but if you don't read the book, you probably won't pass with a good grade because it's hard to know the information otherwise.ACCT203 2018-06-13 13:25:58 +0000 UTC
She seems to care about students, but in fact she doesn't care at all. She doesn't know what she is teaching. Whenever you ask something about the lecture or any course material, she will say "that's a good question, I don't know the answer but I will come back to you". However, she never comes back to you.ACCT2301 2021-03-01 21:30:27 +0000 UTC

Honestly the worst professor I've had at Northeastern. I have a 3.7 GPA and I got a C in her class.. that should tell you something. She acts like she cares in office hours but her tests are trick questions and the final was completely out of the blue, stuff we had never seen before. Do not take her class. Also does not answer emails in time.ACCT2301 2020-09-30 22:31:30 +0000 UTC
Poor lecturer.ACCT203 2017-06-27 08:21:43 +0000 UTC
She doesn't know anything about the subject, but only reads through her slides. Every time when the students ask something, she will either say "that's a good question, and I will get back to you next class" and then completely forget to answer the question next class, or she will simply just ignore the students.ACCT2301 2020-05-08 00:24:04 +0000 UTC
Her tests and grading are very difficult.ACCT203 2017-03-27 20:40:57 +0000 UTC
Unclear slides, zero charisma during the presentation, cold calling. Exams are unclear and she grades them within an hour of it being done. If you follow up on the exam every time, you will gain a couple of points back (because she will just assume you don't know anything), because she misses it during her grading. Don't, take, her. terrible.ACCT2301 2019-12-11 18:55:46 +0000 UTC
Pretty awful teacher for the head of the accounting department. Boring and doesn't know her stuff. Nice enough but not understanding. Case studies were fine, but if you don't give exactly what she's looking for you're done. She messed up my grade and didn't believe me since I threw out the tests.ACCT203 2010-06-13 21:03:34 +0000 UTC
I did a summer 1 semester with this professor and she was amazing. Very accessible and nice as a person, explained complicated material very wellACCT2301 2019-06-11 14:08:30 +0000 UTC

Professor Platt is certainly a tough grader, but I personally loved her class. She allowed early tests to be weighted down if she saw improvement, and she is available for office hours. Also, she allows you to bring in a cheat sheet for tests. I learned a lot in the class.ACCT2301 2018-12-18 16:52:24 +0000 UTC

I DO NOT recommend Professor Platt. She is a tough grader and her classes consist of boring exercises. Her exams are extremely hard and the average grade never was higher than a C. If you are shy DO NOT take her. She cold-calls on people every class and puts you in a very uncomfortable position. I was scared of her!!! Beware of Platt!ACCT2301 2018-11-03 13:32:15 +0000 UTC
