He's a nice guy and is clearly passionate about innovation. However, his lectures are extremely tedious and overwhelming. He would repeat the same topic every class making it even harder to want to pay attention. The group project matters a lot and he will be brutally honest if he doesn't like it. Overall, he is a good person and truly wants his students to succeed. However, his lectures can be absolutely soul draining as they are 2 hours and sometimes he repeats the same thing over and over again. AVOID THIS CLASS. 14 weeks of hearing the same things over and over again without actually learning anything. He gives cryptic feedback, grades so inconsistently, and even if you follow the rubric, if he doesn't like your ideas or project, you'll get a bad grade. He's a nice guy. However, his feedback is extremely cryptic and not helpful. He repeats the same 3 ideas/topics over and over again. Exactly like a broken record. The entire class is a massive group project that doesn't make sense half the time. Very passionate about the class but grades as accurately as possible. Some may say he is a difficult grader but not hard to get an A. Very understanding/wholesome and easy to listen to. I haven't taken the final yet, but I have an A which is obviously very good. However, during the group project we all worked really hard, but nothing was ever good enough for him. If he doesn't like your product that you base your final presentation on, even if the class likes it, you don't do well, and it's almost 40% of your grade. absolutely horrible. i am an extremely hard worker and my group and i follow guidelines exactly, but he was never satisfied. It wasn't just our group. extremely and unnecessarily a hard grader. all other inno classes had easy professors. i also have heard that i am one of VERY few students who had an A, my group members all had B/C…. Very nice guy overall and is passionate about teaching. There's a final for this class, which doesn't make sense because the majority of the class was a group project. If you don't like your group in the beginning, get out of it because the group projects reflect heavily on your grade. I was torn between giving a 4 instead of 3 for difficulty. It's not that the course is hard, but he is all over the place, will teach you concepts after you write a paper on them and expectations aren't clear, but then will give you harsh feedback.
