Professor Wells is an amazing professor and sparked an interest in Philosophy for me. Every class has a 15-20 page reading. As you annotated it, you don't have to participate in class. I ended up transferring from Northeastern, but PHIL2302 remains one of my favorite classes I've ever taken. I found it challenging but reasonable, and I think he teaches in a very unique and engaging way that I continue to seek in other classes. Prof.Wells is one of my favorite professors at Northeastern. He made me enjoy philosophy so much and every reading that was assigned was very engaging. He is super enthusastic and knows what he is teaching. Research Ethics offers simple content but challenging writing assignments. Mark is extremely helpful in office hours. If you're stuck, go to office hours. Cannot stress how much office hours help. As Tyra Banks once said, "It is so bad, I want to give you a 0. But that is not possible. So, I give you...a 1." This is the worst class I have ever taken, it made me absolutely despise philosophy. One of my favorite parts of the classes was the engaging hypotheticals he asked, as if we were moral judges of the subject at hand. Great Professor, you're graded on if you complete 4 assignments. There are of course rubrics for each of those assignments that you have to follow in order to get the complete but it is definitely doable. A expert when it comes to Philosophy, he really knows and understands what he teaches and he isn't afraid to get you thinking. His attitude and passion made the material and subject (which I thought was a bit boring) much more enjoyable. Prof. Wells is a very nice guy and his class is feasible. There is a lot of reading and writing involved with this class, which did make it difficult. I wish his syllabus and course was more clear. This professor was great! The office hours ensure you are doing the assignments correctly and this course is honestly very stress free. As someone with a huge class load, I was able to put this class on the "back burner" (obvi. not completely disregarding) but still received an A! There is a lot of homework but few formally graded assignments. It's feasible to do well in his class, although many will tell you he is a harsh grader, but you need to spend a lot of time and effort.
