She had a very set agenda for each class and adhered strictly to her PowerPoints - didn't seem particularly willing to answer questions in depth. She was very focused on keeping the course "intro level," even when students expressed interest in learning more. Also, for some reason doesn't let you do your homework on lined paper?LING1150 2013-04-12 18:04:37 +0000 UTC
Very good teacher, she really knows what she's talking about, and is very willing to explain. Hard class though, and if you miss a class the slides are up online, but that doesnt necessarily mean you'll understand them, i recommend going to class, it is very interesting!LING1150 2013-04-07 21:49:07 +0000 UTC
Very helpful and willing to meet outside of class. Very knowledgeable, but not pretentious. Provides opportunity for extra credit on homework (problem sets worth 60% of grade) and take-home final. If you come to class consistently and take good notes you'll do well in this class.LING1150 2012-12-17 17:38:23 +0000 UTC
