I dont know why Codesso has 2.6 rating, hes amazing! He genuinely cares for his students by always doing hands on problems which has really helped me and Ive learned the most from this class than any other. Just do the pre-class assignments. Ppl who rated him bad js didnt do well. Hes super caring!ACCT2301 2026-01-29 22:12:26 +0000 UTC
He is kind, lenient, available, and thoughtful. You have three big projects and he grades easily. The class is what you make of it-- can learn a lot or easy A. He also dresses up for Halloween. Take his class!!ACCT5220 2025-12-18 02:26:53 +0000 UTC
Mauricio is really a detriment to both the accounting and data analytics programs at the school. I feel like if anything, my data skills suffered as a result of atrophying over a semester with him, and I wish had the opportunity to have literally anyone else teach me coding and databasing.BUS3635 2023-02-07 01:38:13 +0000 UTC
The worst professor I've ever had!!!!! He assigns many assignments while failing to teach all the essential things. I did not learn ANYTHING also BEWARE of the final project because it will screw you up. He will not give any shit no matter how much you struggle or even if there is an error in the assignment directions.BUS6365 2022-08-25 04:13:06 +0000 UTC
Was genuinely excited to learn coding for my grad program, and this man completed ruined any ambition for that. Absolutely no useful class instruction, he never responds to emails, and his class consists of copying and pasting premade code he often writes incorrectly anywaysBUSN6365 2022-06-12 07:07:48 +0000 UTC
It is highway robbery that this guy's class is mandatory. The skills learned don't translate at all to the workplace, and any skills you do learn will be entirely through Datacamp because this guy STINKS at teaching. I spent 5 hours each week in class, and I honestly cannot tell you one thing that he taught me, not the online assignments.BUSN3635 2021-07-25 06:20:20 +0000 UTC
Best profesor ever. Very caring about his students and wants everyone to do well. If you show up to class, do the worksheets before exams, you will get an A. Codesso is the goat. One of the Best profesor I ever had.ACCT2301 2024-04-17 19:16:50 +0000 UTC
He forgot to post assignments halfway through the semester. Didn't really learn much at all during his class, and I never felt challenged or inspired by anything we discussed. Lots of 'code' in our projects was just his that he told us to copy. Easy A if you want to waste 4 credits.ACCT5220 2023-12-08 05:00:00 +0000 UTC
He regularly made us download add-ons and programs via a remote server that regularly crashed our computers, which was problematic in a Zoom class. Then he begged for good reviews on this site and other surveys, so this guy is really just a complete unprofessional mess. Dont take him, hes terrible.BUS3635 2021-08-22 04:55:37 +0000 UTC
I took Prof. Codesso through NUFlex online. He does a solid job at times of outlining the course and knows the material; however, English is not his first language, so his written materials can be confusing and his lectures border on unintelligible at times over Zoom. His communication skills are unfortunately not at an acceptable level.BUSN6365 2021-07-06 17:28:05 +0000 UTC
There are three exams for this course and one case study (group project-20%), midterm 1 (10%), midterm 2 (15%), and the final exam (25%), so this course is EXAM HEAVY. The case study took so much time and was overly complicated, and at least he gave everyone an A on that case study.ACCT2301 2022-12-20 02:05:06 +0000 UTC
Mauricio is an awful professor and a detriment to Northeastern's accounting/data analytics dept as a whole. He's required for a lot of programs, which is tough for students who genuinely wanted to learn coding and data analytics. If you have any option in the matter and genuinely want to learn, avoid this professor AT ALL COSTS.ACCT2301 2022-11-08 02:04:29 +0000 UTC
Professor Codesso doesn't spend much time on just lecturing during his classes but stresses a lot of hands on practice that he then goes over. All of his tests were multiple choice, including the final, so as long as you pay attention in class, you will be able to ace any test he puts in front of you.ACCT2301 2022-10-13 00:21:44 +0000 UTC
Hands down the worst professor in the business school. If you want to learn python, go to youtube or datacamp for free, since that's what you end up doing in his class anyways. He's never prepared for class, and has absolutely no clue how to explain tech heavy ideas to relative novices. Avoid him at all costs if you can.ACCT2301 2022-05-10 03:53:12 +0000 UTC
