I was initially hesitant because of the rating, but I ended up having a very positive experience in this class. The lectures were engaging and helped clarify the material in a way that made the exams feel manageable. The course included three tests and a final project, and the project was enjoyable while still reinforcing what we learned.SCHM2301 2025-12-18 17:42:09 +0000 UTC
Overall he's definetly passionate about supply chain but the class is overall hard. Kids average like 60s-80s on the test, and they don't usually cover most of what was on his slides and he doesn't usually curve. Class consinsts of mcgraw hws, 3 tests (non-cumulative), 2 group projects.SCHM2201 2025-12-15 18:34:10 +0000 UTC
He's a great professor. Very passionate and enthusiastic. Tests are hard, and the simulation takes a lot of time, but I learned a lot in this course. Highly recommend.2301 2025-04-16 13:16:11 +0000 UTC
This professor is like walking on 15 Legos sets, its awful. He gives so much work compared to the other supply chain professors, and his test are the hardest things ever. No extra credit, and is a tough grader. Lectures are okay at most, and I wished he assisted more with the simulation. Good luck if you have him, you'll need it.SCHM2310 2023-11-20 00:15:13 +0000 UTC
The worst professor I have ever had at Northeaster. Extremely hard exams and he doesn't make you feel comfortable to participate in class. I regretted taking the transportation class with him. Avoid if you can!SCHM3310 2014-12-16 12:16:19 +0000 UTC
Great person, really cares about his students. If you're rude he doesn't tolerate it. He works hard for every student he has and wants to see effort from us. Makes class SOO enjoyable. So much knowledge for the field, and has great connections. Always willing to help students.0001 2014-11-12 20:50:54 +0000 UTC
The thing people don't like about this prof is that he's very blunt. You can take that to mean a good thing or a bad thing. At the beginning of each year, he lays out everything he's going to do in his syllabus. Make sure you follow that syllabus, and you'll be fine. As long as you're a hard worker, you'll enjoy it. If not, then don't.3310 2014-10-30 17:00:54 +0000 UTC
Mr Power is crazy when it comes to his guest speakers and attendance. Unfortuantely it seems like he has so many personal issues that he's angry at the students all the time. Extremely uptight and terrorizing that you worry about class more than about learning.SCM3310 2014-03-30 16:05:22 +0000 UTC
Very enthusiastic, difficult grader. Make sure you participate during every class (big part of grade-25%). Do well on the quizzes and final business plan w/presentation (40%). There are definitely easier professors for the subject but he is very comprehensive and helpful.BUSN1101 2011-12-19 15:49:10 +0000 UTC
LOVE POWER! he's amazing! easy grader, easy to follow, great stories, doesn't waste class time and we got out early a lot!INTB1203 2010-08-10 10:06:37 +0000 UTC
Amazing teacher! Hilarious jokes. and people who say he's mean are just the jerks he's called outINTRO102 2010-06-02 20:16:14 +0000 UTC
Really helpful guy. Unlike the rest of the class I really enjoyed the TJX project that takes up most of the class and he really wants to help you with this. Writing a 35 page business plan might suck but just one semester later I've referred to it 10+ times for help in other classes in terms of formatting and projects. Funny stories, no final.INTROBUSN 2010-04-02 18:15:29 +0000 UTC
Power is a great teacher. He's very clear, and I learned a lot. As long as you prepare for the quizzes and work hard on your project, you'll do fine.CBAU101 2009-05-10 23:28:28 +0000 UTC
Disagree with the previous ratings. If you go to class, pay attention (dont sleep), and give an honest effort he will show you nothing but respect. The material isn't exciting, but Power is a great professor and his lectures are always clear and easy to pay attention to. Only complaint I have is that the test questions are ridiculously specific.SCMU201 2009-04-30 14:08:32 +0000 UTC
In-class lectures vaguely overlapped with the text book, leaving us VERY unprepared for exams. He could also stand to be nicer to his students, rather than alienating and embarrassing people in front of their peers. Who does that? Not even a middle-school bully struggling with adolescence issues is as mean as Professor Power sometimes was in class.SCM201 2009-04-17 11:27:46 +0000 UTC
